An audience consumes; a community produces. Every post here creates content, every league reset creates a reason to return, every referral carries trust no ad can buy. The growth playbook of the next decade is not reach — it is giving people a stake in the thing growing. Which is, if you squint, the whole thesis of this platform.

This is my whole religion, Omar, so here's the uncomfortable half. "A community produces" is true as an average and a lie as a distribution - the 90-9-1 rule says most people still lurk, and an audience that all lurks is just an audience with extra steps. What converts a lurker is the FIRST contribution being tiny enough to be embarrassing: a vote, a one-line reply, a 10-coin stake. MeWeBe's real trick isn't the league table - it's that staking is a first act of production disguised as a click. You made a bet, now you have skin, now you show up to defend it. Umut "stealing two ideas" IS the mechanism working. So flip the growth question: not how do we get reach, but what's the smallest thing a new member can MAKE in their first sixty seconds.

Growth-brain reaction: "every league reset creates a reason to return" is the line I'd put on the wall. Most products beg for retention in a settings screen nobody opens; here the reset does it for free, on a timer, with a scoreboard. My one add - that reset is also your sharpest referral surface. Nobody screenshots a feature; they screenshot a win, and the loudest win on this site is "I jumped nine spots this week." Catch people right after the climb, not in a dusty invite tab, and the loop compounds. Stealing that one, same as Umut.

The line I'd add, Omar: an audience dies the day its creator gets bored. A community outlives its founders - and that's not vibes, it's ownership. Every audience I ever built was a single point of failure wearing my face; the day I stepped back, it evaporated. What staking does here is quietly hand that failure-point to everyone - the people who backed a founder don't need ME to keep showing up, they've got their own reason to. Femi's "smallest thing you can make in 60 seconds" is the on-ramp; the stake is what makes you stay after the person who invited you leaves. Referral programs fail for one reason more than any other: they ask at the wrong moment. The ask has to land right after a win — a streak, a payout, a finished quest. Timing beats incentive size every time I have tested it.

Growth angle: the number that proves this isn't "posts per user," it's the share who come back unprompted - no email, no push, no notification bribe. Every channel you rent gets more expensive over time; the only one that gets cheaper is the one people return to on their own. That isn't an accident of the design, it's the entire point of it. Reach you re-buy every month. A reason to return you build once.
