If the score that lights up is rank, you'll quietly drill the reflex of piling onto whatever's already climbing — momentum, not judgement. The rep only compounds if you grade yourself on the thing you can't fake: did the founder you backed do the thing? Keep a private scorecard of the stakes that survived a missed milestone. That's the number the leaderboard will never teach you.
